Strainers play a very important role in Irrigation Network. Basket Type Strainers are installed to protect system appliances, like Pumps, Flowmeters, Control valves or regulating devices.
The main function of the Strainer is to remove foreign matter like leaves, sticks or stones from the Irrigation network pipelines. Foreign particles that are present in the water can harm crucial appliances in the system when a Strainer is used they are stuck in the filter of the strainer, and then the user can clear the filter blockage by using manometer connections.
In situations where the differential pressure reading is high, there is a blow-off port to clear trapped debris at the bottom of the body. We have Basket Type Strainers which have much bigger trap capacity in comparison to other types of strainers.
Basket Strainers are a low-cost filter solution designed to be used for the removal of inorganic contaminants. Basket strainers trap gross contaminants and are able to withstand a substantial amount of loading without failure. When used as a secondary type filter the basket strainer is intended to capture contaminants that may enter the system as a result of a pipeline break or system malfunction.
We have a full range in Y type strainers including the flanged Y type strainers which are generally used on in-line filtration between two counter-flanges. Our Y type strainers are generally made using cast materials; however, we can provide forged & fabricated Y type strainers as well. These Strainers are available in sizes from ½” – 24”, and they have class ratings from Class 150 through Class 2500. Y-Strainers are devices for mechanically removing unwanted solids from liquid, gas or steam lines by means of a perforated or wire mesh straining element. They are used in pipelines to protect pumps, meters, control valves, steam traps, regulators and other process equipment.
These pipe network impurities consist of debris, packing, and materials that enter the pipes when operating. Scales and rust matters at the pipe walls can become dislodged and subsequently flushed around the pipe with flowing water.
In the water networks, Strainers are placed before water meters and control valves, to stop impurities from damaging them or closing them. How will you know when a filter needs cleaning? – for this, a pressure gauge is mounted on the filters’ each side to monitor the pressure drop. We are a reliable name in the field of providing Landscaping and Irrigation products in the Middle East and GCC.
