A butterfly valve in irrigation system is used for isolating or regulating flow of water. The working principle of butterfly valves is similar to that of ball valves, allowing for quick shut off. Butterfly valves are very popular because they are cheaper as well as light in weight, requiring less support and maintenance. The Butterfly disc is located at the center of the pipe; a rod passes through the disc and is connected to an actuator on the outside of the valve. Turning the actuator turns the disc either parallel or perpendicular to the water flow. In contrast to ball valve, the disc is always there within the water flow, so there is always a pressure drop in the pipe, irrespective of valve position.

Irrigation and landscaping flanged butterfly valve are quarter-turn valves. While being operated, these valves are either fully open or closed when the disc is rotated a quarter turn. Flanged butterfly valves have a metal disc mounted on a rod. When the valve is shut off, the disc is rotated so that it totally blocks off the passageway. When the valve is fully open, the disc is rotated a quarter turn so that it lets the water in the pipeline pass without restriction.

Dutco Tennant LLC has been serving the irrigation & landscaping industry in the Middle East and GCC region for over four decades. In the past few decades, the irrigation system has gone through many improvements as the world’s concern regarding the sustainable use of water resources grows. As authorities in the Middle East area introduce even stricter water conservation norms, Dutco Tennant LLC works together with irrigation & landscaping product vendors, contractors, and consultants to provide advanced solutions that meets all the requirements of irrigation products.

We have a large supply of double eccentric valve. These valves can be used for isolating or regulating the water flow in the irrigation lines. Our automated butterfly valves have centric or double eccentric design, and are fit for all kinds of project applications. If you need any kind of automated butterfly valves for use in irrigation lines then you can contact us.

Important Features of Butterfly Valves are:

  • They have low operating torque.
  • They require less maintenance.
  • These stainless steel butterfly valves can be used for maintaining bidirectional flow in the pipe.
  • All our valves are rubber lined.
  • Valve’s unique structure ensures that it’s body and shaft does not come in touch with the media in the pipe.
  • All our double eccentric butterfly valves are covered by long-term vendor warranty.
  • Designed to operate in different temperature ranges.
  • Anti-corrosive epoxy coating for corrosion resistance.
