Mainly a compression coupling or fitting is used mostly in plumbing and electrical conduit systems to join two tubes or thin-walled pipes together. In various cases in which two pipes are made of dissimilar materials that are needed to join, the fittings will be made with one or more compatible materials that are highly suitable for the connection. Compression fittings that are required for attaching tubing, commonly have ferrules. These couplings are also widely used for hot and cold-water faucets and toilet stop valves. They are extremely suited for this application as they are usually located in confined spaces in which the copper pipe is tough to soldier without creating a fire hazard. Easy reconnection and disconnection are also allowed by the fittings. These couplings can also be a quick-fix which requires a temporary or also a permanent repair in a quick time having less downtime. If you are needed to add as line by teeing into an existing line, then there is actually no problem and you can just prepare you to tee either with glue socket outlet or female pipe threaded outlet by adding a valve and then turn off the water, cut your line and insert the tee, tighten the ends and turn the water back on. Two male adapters are used along with a threaded valve for quick addition of a shut off whenever needed.
