We supply compact rotary Drum Screens which can remove solids from industrial and municipal waste streams and recovers solid products from process streams at rates from 200 to 4,650 gal/min without clogging or blinding the screen. It comes with a horizontal cylinder having a durable wedge wire screening, a headbox, a variable speed drive, support structure, discharge chute, and reducing the floor space and requirements of headroom when compared to non-rotating equipment of the same capacity. An optional variable speed drive also makes way for adjusting the drum rotation speed for achieving maximum dewatering effectiveness. The screen of the wedge wire is available in several orifice sizes. Being the only moving part, the rotating drum minimizes initial cost, maintenance cost, and operating cost.
It is mostly used for separating the various solids and sludges from the municipal and industrial wastewater, pulp, food processes, and paper production and rendering processes. Removal of extruded pellets from the cooling baths and separation of debris from any variety of plant and equipment-cleaning processes. From the headbox, the solids-laden effluent discharges and overflows a weir that floods the top of the cylinder's exterior along its entire length. As the rotation takes place, liquid from the effluent drains through slotted apertures in the screen into an internal baffle that concentrates the flow in opposite to the interior side of the cylinder at its lowest point and dislodges any solids which can be trapped in apertures even when handling the oily, greasy, fibrous or resinous matter. The dewatered solids which are accumulated on the exterior of the screen can achieve moisture levels of around 20 percent before being removed by a doctor blade and directed through the chute. We have internally fed drum screens that are built for heavy pretreatment applications like draining, sandy or industrial wastewater treatment, mud thickening, etc. The product is heavily recommended for membrane bioreactor treatment plants. It is an internally fed rotary drum screen with a rack and pinion driving system that offers heavy reliability with very minimal maintenance requirements and extremely low user movement for daily operations.
Features -
High Capture Rate -
As the drum is internally fed, it catches all types of debris like rocks, grits, organics, rags, fibers, and others. a high capture rate is provided by the perforated plate which is as small as 800 microns that makes it a great solution for fine screening, especially with an MBR system.
Reliable and Easy to use -
The drum is rotated by a pinion-and-rack system which is driven by the gear motor. It is made of HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) and the mechanism is completely free of maintenance. The drum is supported by oversized trunnions and offers stability during the rotation.Minimal Maintenance -
A touch-free cleaning of the inside of the drum is provided by spray bars. The maintenance for every week comprises only a visual inspection of the drum and the spray bar nozzles. For cleaning or replacement whenever necessary the nozzles can be easily removed.
