The T-Body Surge Arrester from Chardon is a combination of arrester and coupling (rear) with T shaped design interface. The product is made with the aim to safeguard apparatus which includes transformers, switchgears and other equipment from high voltage surges. Surges that are caused by lightning or switching.
The carefully engineered components of this surge arrester is the reason behind its capacity to deliver high-performance. The contact rod made from copper offers a consistent current transfer path. It has the power to provide ground shield continuity with its precision molded and peroxide cured conducting shield.
For safe surge transfer to the ground during high voltage spikes, the flexible copper stranded woven wire springs into action. The wire works expertly to carry the current reliably. The T-Body Surge Arrester also offers unfettered mechanical, thermal and electrical reliability, thanks to its epoxy molded insulating plug.
Other elements that work to make this tool a necessity includes – conducting insert, insulation layer, stainless steel studs and gapless MOV arrester module.
