Flap valves have been designed to operate under very low heads of water, in gravity flow applications, at ambient conditions between -65 degrees Celsius and +_ 85 degrees Celsius. The valve prevents backwater via a spring-loaded or weighted flap placed across the opening of a pipe, tube or duct. Flap valves and flap gates are a type of non-return valve (NRV) which is used to prevent flooding and to stop water back-flowing up pipework connecting into ponds, ditches, swales, river, and marine or tidal environments. Our range of flap valves and flap gates comprises of a wall-mounted flap valve, tidal flap valves, flange mounted flap valves as well as push-fit and pipe mounted flap valves.
Dutco Tennant LLC provides Flap valves which are designed to operate under very low water heads, in gravity flow applications, and at ambient temperature conditions between -65° and +85° C. The valve prevents backflow of water via a spring-loaded or weighted flap kept across a pipe opening, tube or duct.
In our Flap Valves, the flap and backplate are made using HDPE, with a stainless steel 316 hinge-pin, counterweight, and attachments. As the HDPE has specific gravity, a stainless steel counterweight is provided to ensure closure when back-pressure is present; however low heads of water are needed to open the flap. It has such a design that the counterweight balances the flap accurately.
Our Flap Valve has a lip seal, to offer seal between the frame and flap, and also there is a self-adhesive neoprene seal to place between the wall and the frame, which is there to prevent leakage.
Our company offers wall-mounted Flap valves which are till 1000 mm in size and spigot-mounted Flap valves till 600 mm. We provide Flange-mounted, Tidal Flap valves, and other Flap valves on request.
