Static screens are fine screens which are used to remove non-settleable solid materials present in wastewater such as fibers. They are placed at the primary treatment part of the treatment plants to prevent some possible damages on the following units. In this type of screen, clogging problem is minimized because of the V-shaped stainless steel bars used as screening media. There is no any mechanical component on their body. Because of that reason, static screens treat wastewater without using electrical energy Therefore, they are economical compared to rotating disc screen or drum screen equipments.
