Testing out fire equipment to learn about its capacity to resist fire gives a thorough performance data in advance. You will know if the items installed are able to offer fire protection or not.

There are many fire testing solutions and one of the most essential is the fire resisting test furnace. It is an apparatus that aids in evaluating fire resistance capacity of  vertical or horizontal construction, support or column and offers quantifying high temperature exposure ability of products.

If you are looking for a high efficiency fire resisting test furnace then make sure to look for fire testing equipment Dubai. To know if the fire resistance test furnace is an efficient solution or not, here are some ultimate features that you need to look for.

Keep reading till the end to find out the features.

Overview Of FTT Furnace Features

  • FTT Furnace with an internal chamber of 3000mm width, 4000mm height and 1000mm depth.
  • Equipped with a Hydraulic Tilting System that allows the furnace to be positioned either on a horizontal plane for ceilings and floors testing or upright for testing items such as doors, walls, etc.
  • Capable of executing vertical or horizontal tests on specimens that are typically mounted on customized resistant frames.
  •  A furnace combustion control panel engineered to run on both manual and fully automatic control modes.

Supporting Elements Needed for FTT Furnace

Furnace Tilting Mechanism

A hydraulic tilting system that comprises twin hydraulic cylinders are typically supplied in a FTT Furnace. This particular device allows the operator for upright furnace positioning so that it can carry out vertical fire resistance tests.

It also enables lowering the furnace on a horizontal plane so as to carry out horizontal testing.

Lifting & Restraint Frames

For mounting test specimens horizontally and vertically, there are two sets of frames provided. The refractory lining which is anchored to the steel frames are made of refractory precast blocks. These frames are non-load bearing frames.

In order to lift the specimen restrain frame toward the furnace, a separate custom made lifting frame is needed that comes with two side hooks. These frames essentially help in placing the vertical and horizontal restraint frames easily on to the furnaces.

Temperature Sensors & Manometer

Furthermore, the system needs a pressure manometer, plate thermometers, ambient thermocouple assembly and 9 Type K thermocouples.

Refractory Lined Exhaust Stack & Connecting Duct

The refractory lined exhausting stack is constructed of 9mm thickness made of mild steel with a refractory line of 6 meters. The stack can be extended up to 3 meters more above the factory roof level or as per the local code requirements.

This FTT furnace is designed to provide high-efficiency performance ideal for large scale settings.
