Rodding Eyes - Stainless Steel

Within a drainage pipe, a rodding eye is a removable cover that helps for removing the obstruction due to drain rods. They are also known by several names like “access eye” or “cleaning eye”. They are defined as a pipe fitting that offers access to inspection and cleaning. Rodding eyes can be located over the head of a drain or inside an intermediate position. They must not be used over drains that are deeper than 2 meters. The rodding points as long as embedded in concrete, can be used in situations that are accessible for light motor vehicles. Being vertical pipe, rodding eyes have curved junction sitting below ground with a sewer or drainage system. There is also access to these pipes with the help of an oval-shaped small cover that is offered at the ground level that allows them to be accessed during blockages within the piping.

Rodding eyes can be used to solve draining problems in different areas (hospitals, hotels, restaurants, chemical and pharmaceutical plants).

Rodding eyes are manufactured in austenitic stainless steel grades AISI304 or AISI316L. Edge finishing allows installation in different types of floors. Rodding eyes tightness is ensured by plate cover with seal mounted with 4 screws.

There are 2 types of cover available: anti-slip and smooth one.
