For controlling the water level on one side of a gate, weir gates are used and are features with a downward opening which allows the water flow over the top of the slide. In several treatment plants, there is a requirement of downward opening fabricated gates to permit a rough measurement of flow or to maintain a constant upstream water elevation. For these installations, the gate slide opens downward for allowing the flow of water over the top of the slide or weir plate. Either manual or electrically actuated lifting devices can be utilized for this. Weir gates may or may not be self-contained.

The side and top seals are self-adjusting to ensure long term tight sealing and they are constructed of UHMWPE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) with a nitrile compression cord.
The weir gates that we supply are made to pass through several tests before they leave our facility.
The valves which we supply have a self-adjusting design which eliminates any requirement for maintenance. Seals have no metal-to-metal contact to ensure no sticking, even after years of non-operation.
